1: Principles for data processing

We make medical aids. This means that we have a special responsibility for your personal data being treated properly. Here you will quickly find an overview of how we process data.

  • We are transparent in our data processing: You can read all about our processing of data on this page. We also inform you of your rights.

  • We collect and process only the necessary data: We only collect data needed to resolve a given task. We do not collect and save unnecessary data.

  • We limit data processing to the relevant persons: For example, it is only employees are responsible for sales, shipment and accounts that have access to invoices.

  • We delete personal data when they are no longer required: We disclose deadlines for deletion on all of the personal data we collect.

  • We never disclose personal data to other actors without your consent.

2: Precautions to avoid data breach

We follow the Danish Data Protection Agency’s guidelines: This means that:

  • Access to personal data is restricted to persons who have a real need for access.

  • Employees who handle personal information receive annual instruction and training on what to do with the information and how to protect them.

  • All PCs have updated firewall and antivirus software installed. We always use passwords for computers and IT systems with personal data. Personal data on paper is stored in a locked cabinet.

  • Products that are serviced and repaired at Danish Care Technology's premises will always be locked in when there are no employees present

  • If there is a breach of data security that may compromise your personal data, you will be notified within 72 hours of the detection of the breach.

3: The purpose of data processing

Danish Care Technology processes personal data in order to perform the following common task:

Advice about Danish Care Technology's products

Danish Care Technology ApS can advise on our products, but it should be emphasized that our advice can never replace a medical assessment. Our employees have a duty of confidentiality.

Danish Care Technology advises customers and people with an interest in our products, both via email, form and phone. During the consultation, personal information (name, email and telephone number) is included for the purpose of having a correspondence. In addition, it is natural that sensitive personal information about health is given during the consultation. This may be necessary to provide the right advice.

If Danish Care Technology advises by phone, the call is never taped and saved. For questions via email, we inform about the company's data protection policy and the individual's rights by linking to www.danishcare.co.uk/data-protection. Mails are deleted 2 years after the correspondence has ended.

If you use a contact form, you will be informed about Danish Care Technology's data protection policy. In addition, it is possible to consent to data processing of sensitive data. Requests via form will be deleted 2 years after the correspondence has expired.

For international people who want advice, Danish Care Technology can transfer personal data to the nearest national dealer of our product in that country. This is only done with the consent.

4: Who has access to the information

Employees at Danish Care Technology only have access to personal data if they require the data for a specific purpose. Specifically, this means that the data is used within the employee's area of responsibility. In a small company like Danish Care Technology, an employee often has several responsibilities.

5: Who we share the information with

Danish Care Technology uses other companies' services when we run our business. This means that personal data is stored by third parties. There are data processing agreements with all operators. Operatorslocated outside the EU are part of the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework

We use the following data administrators for our registration, recruitment and advice. 

  • Surftown
    (Mail server and server)

  • Squarespace
    (CMS/website)

  • Google
    (Mail, server, Google Search Console, YouTube)

6: Your rights

  • You have the right to be informed that data is collected and processed by Danish Care Technology.

  • You have the right to gain insight into your data. Danish Care Technology must provide insight within 30 days of your inquiry.

  • You have the right to correct incorrect data and limit our ordinary data processing.

  • You have the right to delete your data. However, only in cases where data deletion is allowed under Danish law.

  • You have the right to object if your personal data is processed and disclosed for a purpose that you have not consented to. You can always revoke a consent.

  • You have the right to receive your data so that they may be transferred to another provider. (Portability)

  • You have the right to appeal to the Danish Data Protection Authority if Danish Care Technology does not live up to the above.

7: Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of code that are sent to your browser when you visit our site. Cookies have many different features, but on our site, we use cookies to analyse your browser type, the keywords you use, your behaviour on our website, your IP address, and information about your computer type and operating system. Your IP address is personal and is thus covered by the Personal Data Protection Regulation.
